Born in Los Angeles, CA, grew up within sight of that city's iconic HOLLYWOOD sign.  When not reading voraciously he, as a youth, could be running, and even sleeping, in the then plentiful orange groves. Graduated from Occidental College,  received his MDiv from Union Theological Seminary, ministered in the Presbyteries of New Brunswick, NJ, New York City and Nassau County over 40 years.  Further studies included a DMin from Drew Theological School, a J D from Brooklyn Law School followed by membership in the NYS Bar.  A lifetime writer of fine sermons, but, also, a walker of the Appalachian Trail.  Fare you well Carl as you are in the Lord's Keeping now.   Your Friend
